If only one word could be used to describe these two months, that word would be mobility. It started with the scoot/drag ("Combat Connor") method of transportation in April. That transitioned to a real crawl by late May. Connor also mastered pulling himself up in April and graduated to "cruising" (walking sideways while holding onto furniture) in May. Connor just loves his newfound mobility and uses it as a means of getting into anything and everything.

There were several other firsts these months: First Renaissance Faire, first Mother's Day, first class at My Gym, and a whole slew of new first foods. Connor loves to eat and, at least so far, eats just about everything. Other milestones include two more teeth in April (for a total of eight teeth) and waving bye-bye. Sometimes the bye-bye happens after the visitors have left the building but it's a start. The most important first, however, is Connor's 1^st Birthday! J

Grandma comes over to visit Connor (exactly 11 months old old).	Reason #247 to start childproofing: Your child crawls into your glass coffee table... (exactly 11 months old old).	... over and over and over and over again... (exactly 11 months old old).
Connor loves it when Daddy lifts him into the air (exactly 11 months old old).	Connor experiments with sand for the first time. Verdict: Running it through your fingers is fun J (11 months old).	Connor gives us the "I'm so kewl" look (11 months old).
Connor shows off his 6 foot vertical leap to the top of the volleyball net. Look for him in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games (11 months old).	Connor demonstrates his excellent wrist snap technique. He's snapping so quickly, the camera can't even focus! No one is going to be able to dig his spikes J (11 months old)!	Connor doesn't seem to understand that in volleyball you're supposed to stay out of the net, not get caught in it (11 months old).

Connor really enjoyed his first Renaissance Faire (49 weeks old).	Connor makes his first Mother's Day gift for Mommy. Isn't he talented? Ok... so he had a little help from his teachers at Kindercare J (49 weeks old).	Connor is not sure what to do with his first pair of chopsticks but they are fun to throw on the ground... (49 weeks old).

Connor really likes his cousin Mari. He was flirting with her all night (51 weeks old).	Connor thinks the sippy cup is a fun toy... not something to actually drink from... (52 weeks old).	Connor and Mark having fun at Doheny State Beach (52 weeks old).

Connor at 1 year old... well, minus one day... close enough J (1 year old).	As the t-shirt says, Connor is the "Birthday Boy" (1 year old).	Just in time for his birthday, Connor has discovered that pulling up on anything and everything is lots of fun (1 year old).

Connor enjoys sitting in a wicker chair that Goldilocks would agree is "just right" J (1 year old).	The picture is a bit blurry, but it was too cute not to share. On Connor's actual birthday, he went to Red Robin. The wait staff sang the Happy Birthday song to him... a first of many times to come (exactly 1 year old).
Yum, Yum! The birthday ice cream sunday at Red Robin was a *big* hit with Connor (exactly 1 year old).	Connor finally holds his own bottle... sometimes... and only when he's reclining. It's a start (1 year old).
